My husband told me he had been unhappy in our marriage for the last 10 years shortly after I found him making sexual advances to our 21 year old dog walker. I didn’t see it coming and the separation followed with me feeling lost, rejected, frightened and hurt. I had been married for 17 years and somehow lost my personal identity becoming a mum and dutiful wife always putting others first. I needed to find “me” again, heal and find a way to move on.

I came across Elisabeth Parsons when I joined The Separation Club and was encouraged to join the Rising Free membership where I met a lot of women at different stages of their journey. Their support and friendship was invaluable to me. I was offered the opportunity to join the Freedom to Rise course but as I work full time as a medical doctor and parent a challenging teenager I worried I would never have the time to engage or benefit.

I had been on the hamster wheel of life, getting by and just surviving. My ex was living his best life and I felt left with the drudgery, responsibilities and sadness. I wanted a way out. I treated myself to an early birthday present and signed up.

Week by week, my strength grew and clarity prevailed. The course helped me to understand my feelings better. Elisabeth taught me how powerful my thoughts are and by guiding them, my action could dramatically change. I learnt similarly they were responsible for my inaction, self doubt and holding me back.

I discovered journaling, meditation and listening to my voice. Elisabeth helped me to recognize triggers which brought me out of alignment.

The course helped me to search for my wounds and Elisabeth made me question my fears and showed me ways to deal with them. She introduced me to crystal energy, the new moon ritual and chakras which align closely with my religious beliefs which I had pushed aside .

I struggled with understanding the response and moving forward with mutual friends and Elisabeth offered 1:1 sessions to help me work through my resentment and confusion.

Although I am still growing and evolving, the Freedom To Rise course and coaching with Elisabeth has given me bricks and mortar to keep building my new future. I have a new dream and Elisabeth helped me to believe in myself again helping me realize I am worth it and I can do it. She has shown me how to find myself and given me a life manual on how to sparkle again.

So many of the techniques and reflection she has encouraged, I apply also to my professional life and I handle conflict and negativity so much better now.

I want to thank Elisabeth for this invaluable course and the strong women whom I met who helped me along the way and I hope we have made lasting friendships.
